Spare Tires: Full Size or Compact?
All vehicles should carry a suitable spare tire. There are several types of spares, but they all fall into one of two categories: full-sized and compact temporary.
A full-size spare matches the dimensions of the tires on your car now. A permanent full-size spare should be rotated with the other tires, but they must be replaced with them when the time comes. Temporary full-size spares are meant only to get you to a repair station to get your flat fixed.
